Our history

1947

The starting signal for the current company. As a dentist without well-functioning tools for treating teeth, Gottfried Hubschmid decided to take matters into his own hands. He started with the development of electroplated diamond instruments.

1951

After the successful process with the diamond instruments, the next product variants, Rubynit and Diarit, were immediately developed.

1963

Kurt Hubschmid, the son of Gottfried Hubschmid, joins Heico. The first generational transfer of the company.

1967

Development of the next product variant, the Saphir, to expand the range of rotary grinding instruments even further.

1973

Handover of Heico from Gottfried to Kurt Hubschmid and well-deserved retirement for the founder of our company.

2003

Takeover of Heico by Martin Egli and simultaneous transfer of knowledge from Kurt Hubschmid.

2020

The second generational transfer. The entry of Martin Egli's two sons was followed by the change from a sole proprietorship to a public limited company and the simultaneous change of the company name from Heico to Heico-Switzerland AG.
