Aurite

Aurit is a newly developed coating technique in conjunction with a new, specially developed abrasive grain. In collaboration with our long-standing supplier, we have developed a new heat-resistant grinding method that is ideal for electroplating. Up to 1,200°C, no carbon is released from the abrasive grain to the steel. This abrasive grain has its advantages in terms of hardness, abrasion resistance, strength and sharp cutting edges during the entire application. The newly developed coating method means that a density of abrasive grains can be generated that is comparable to our Champion products. The grains are slowly built up layer by layer to prevent free spaces. This results in an extremely long service life.

Aurit abrasive grit is superior to conventional abrasives such as silicon carbide (SiC) or aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) in all areas.

As the abrasive grain does not release any carbon to steel up to 1,200°C, it is perfect for use in places where natural diamond abrasive grain cannot be used. It is the abrasive that has been optimized to the limit for work on ferrous and hardened metals. Aurite can also be used for precious and semi-precious stones.

With three different fineness levels, all individual requirements can be met. Products are available in the fineness levels fine, medium and coarse.
